Do you spend a lot of time staring at screens & straining your eyes throughout the day? If so, you may benefit from trying the counting leaves technique to help relax and heal your eyes. Here's a fun way to incorporate leaf counting into your day:

Find a quiet outdoor spot with a variety of trees or plants around you. You can choose to sit or stand, whatever is comfortable for you.

Start by observing the leaves on a tree or plant closest to you. Count each leaf you see, one by one, in a systematic manner.

Once you have counted all the leaves on that tree or plant, try counting leaves on a different tree or plant at a different distance from you. You can choose a tree that is farther away or one that is lower to the ground.

Repeat this process with different trees or plants, varying the range (high and low) at which you count the leaves. Aim to count between 50-100 leaves in total during your session.

Take deep breaths and immerse yourself in the calming environment of nature as you engage in this mindful leaf counting activity.

By practicing this exercise regularly, you can sharpen your observation skills, enhance your focus, and deepen your connection with nature. Plus, it's a simple and enjoyable way to incorporate mindfulness into your day.

The counting leaves technique can help to give your eyes a break from staring at screens and improve their overall health and well-being. So next time you need a break from technology, give this simple yet effective technique a try. Your eyes will thank you for it!

Enjoy the beauty of nature and happy leaf counting! 🍃🌿🌳
