Imagine waking up and feeling a sense of flow. Instead of try hard to succeed, and avoid failure, you listen to your desires and accept the present reality. We're often told to work towards our goals- yet a key component in flow, is to find a balance between challenge and skill- effortless effort. The Chinese call it Wu Wei and it aligns us with the Dao (our life purpose). Rather than aiming to achieve an end result, enjoy being present and aware, consciousness radiating from mind & body.

Possibilities open up when you align yourself with frequencies of love, joy and abundance. This takes no specific shape, for inspiration arises out of energy and emotion. Embrace imperfection and persist along your inward journey, until you reach a state of feeling rather than thinking, similar to meditation. By combining activity with inactivity, we can make significant changes in our lives and harmonize action with stillness.

For example, practising qigong combines stillness into movement through mindful breathing, while yoga poses hold energy within stillness. These practises help us achieve a meditative state and balance our energy. Meditation can also balance our yang energy by increasing stillness (yin). Add chanting to that equation fortifies a Yang aspect (vibration of air). Movement activates our energy field into a state of aliveness.

Each type of practise offers a unique experience for an individual. Remember to actively recover, so that you can quickly get back into flow. Feel free to go back to bed for several moments after morning activities and notice how it resets the mind and body. Changing our position resets exertion, and changing our environment resets effort. So do both and dance in the refreshing energy of novelty.
