Action and inspiration

Have you heard the saying "Have you heard the saying "Action breeds inspiration more than inspiration breeds action"?
The path of inspiration
Inspiration fuels action through intuition. Intuition sparks emotions. Alignment with our emotions leads to clarity, progress and purpose. Meaning and connection support our purpose, and encourage kindness and empathy. With empathy and compassion we discover fulfilment.
So does inspiration lead to action? I think it depends on the source of inspiration. When we look outside of ourselves, we may not truly believe we can accomplish our goals. By turning inward and aligning our energy, frequency and vibration, with trust and faith in our abilities, we can tap into our confidence and follow our heart's guidance.
In other words, inspiration can indeed spark action, but it's often the emotions and feelings that arise from that inspiration that ultimately drive us to take action.
Let's illustrate this with an example. Suppose I feel inspiration to write some music, and I have a time constraint leading to emotional blockage (frustration). This emotional state may influence my creative process intuitively. What happens by expanding the timeframe I have to write it, choose an opportune moment to compose, and align my energy with joy, peace, and love? How might my music sound then? This is how we can create deliberately and consciously. By digging deep and uncovering what we truly feel, we can manifest our desires and bring our visions to life.
The Power of Intuition
Intuition is the bridge between inspiration and action. It's the quiet voice that nudges us to take a step forward, even when we're unsure. When we listen to our intuition, it sparks emotions and fuels our motivation.
Inspiration
Inspire shares the etymology of re-spira-tion, both referring to Latin “spirare”- to breath into. Re=again. Similar to Latin “spiritus” where the word spirit stems from.
At one point, breath didn't mean an action, but a continuous flow of energy like the body expanding and contracting. The concept of air being breathed through inhale and exhale seems a modern day abstraction. Along with it the idea of connecting to nature, which we already do by existing.
The Concept of Existence
To exist stems from “sister” meaning to stand. The verb sistere, status (“cause to stand”), in its combining form -stit-, provides the key to solstice (< L sol-stit-ium), the “sun-standing” that occurs when the sun seems poised over the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn at the beginning of summer and winter.
Existence means to emerge, to expand from centre, not in a literal sense, but that point of awareness, which really has no centre unless its created by awareness. Spirit in Chinese, Shen, refers to this awareness, that heart consciousness we share with the universe.
Like the internet, the universe is made up of frequencies and vibrations, inseparable from our "physical" world. To ignore this source of power, is to treat life as a complex puzzle, one that we need constantly assemble and fix.
“Life is a miracle to be lived, not a problem to be solved.” This quote leads us back into harmony with the creative mind, our subconscious.
Tapping into Our Subconscious
By tapping into the power of our subconscious with affirmations and positive thinking, we can manifest our desired reality. Think carefully what you really want and focus on it with your attention. The paradox is that wanting something, means you don't already have it, and to have something means to first align your energy by presence and awareness.
When you're in Plato’s cave, take a step back, breath and let the stars guide you. Surrender to possibility, and view life as an observer, with no attachment to form.
To know reality, we may challenge our perception with observation. As I remain a witness to reality, I realize how knowledge of myself exists within me. I can dip my toe in sacred waters of wisdom before I swim in the ocean of mind.
With each wave of information, I return to consciousness. Each wave its own ripple, as each flowing movement has its own expression, and each art piece has its own creative process, and each observer their own interpretation.
Spark of Creativity
The creative process often sparks fear, an emotion that can either block our creative potential or serve as a catalyst for growth and self-discovery. By embracing and exploring this fear, we can transform it into a positive force that propels us forward.
Fear creates an illusion of separation, where we perceive a gap or distance between two things that are actually connected. For instance, our hands may appear separate when held apart, but when brought together, they form an electromagnetic field. Similarly, darkness seems like a separation from light, but it's simply the absence of light's electromagnetic frequencies.
Interdependance
This illusion of separation is just that - an illusion. In reality, everything is interconnected, and this unity is revealed when we recognize the oneness of consciousness. For example, each wave appears separate from the ocean, but when we acknowledge the unity of consciousness, this separation dissolves, revealing the interconnected world.
By releasing this illusion and embracing our fears, we can tap into our creative potential and access synchronicities and cognitive flow. This can influence our perception of reality and collective consciousness as our minds interact with other frequencies. The natural dance between opposing forces (yin and yang) ultimately seeks harmony and unity.
Embracing Change
By embracing this change we can merge with our superconscious mind, and gather the insight to awaken our mind and consciousness. And by observing without judgement, we also accept who we truly are, and make peace in the body. For I am glad to be alive and conscious in the body, not only the body itself. The body has a mind, the mind doesn’t have a body.
What Inspires Us to Take Action
What drives you to take action? Do you focus on results, progress, performance?
For me, it's the sense of joy in the journey, the thrill of the unknown, the bliss of alignment, and the happiness found in each moment!
So remember to smile and breath, reflect on intention in the moment, encourage growth and inner alignment, embrace imperfection, meditate to gain clarity, accept changes, express yourself and laugh. Sometimes its a simple as feeling the energy, instead of focusing on the form. By practising Qigong, meditation, and other mindful practises we can cultivate flow and inspiration.
What inspires you to create positive change in your life? For me, the sense of purpose and the desire to make a meaningful impact. It's the small wins and milestones that fuel my drive to keep pushing forward.
Reflection
So what do you think? Does this saying hold true? Perhaps action and inspiration have a two-way relationship. Action certainly inspires flow and creativity, thus inspiring us further.
What inspires you to take action and what actions give you a sense of fulfilment?
Summary
Noticing how you feel and connecting from the heart centre, holds real power.
The difficulty lies in 2 illusions:
1. seeking the feeling something "gives you"
2. the idea that this feeling will exist in the future.
Inspiration gives us a glimpse of how we'll feel so that we can align with it in the NOW. You feel different when you know you have something, rather than wanting to have it.
I've found that it's not necessarily the inspiration that brings manifestation, but rather the actions we take that inspire us to continue taking action.
When delving into manifestation and creative processes, consider:
Embracing a beginners mind
Take your time and reflect on each stage
Celebrate small wins- each one matters!
Cultivate unconditional love, joy and light
Foster alignment, focus and balance
Observe your thoughts, emotions, desires
